Per the CDC – here are some tips for protecting your pets:

Dogs are very susceptible to tick bites and tickborne diseases. Vaccines are not available for most of the tickborne diseases that dogs can get, and they don’t keep the dogs from bringing ticks into your home. For these reasons, it’s important to use a tick preventive product on your dog.

Tick bites on dogs may be hard to detect. Signs of tickborne disease may not appear for 7-21 days or longer after a tick bite, so watch your dog closely for changes in behavior or appetite if you suspect that your pet has been bitten by a tick.

I have SO many places to go and things to do, the LAST thing I need is to be getting any ticks on me.

First off, eeww – gross – ticks on Me!?!  No Way!

That would be simply horrid and UN-acceptable.Rambo-Ticks-Off

Not to mention, I can’t afford any diseases, I have too many responsibilities to risk getting sick from a tick bite!?!

So I do enjoy being regularly sprayed with Ticks-Off to keep me safe from ticks.

Unlike other sprays that have poison in them, I hate those! And that stuff they used to put on the back of my neck, that made me feel all woozy and nauseous. I say ‘No thank you!’ to those toxic products.

(And… Shhh, I won’t admit it out loud, but secretly I do really like the sleek feeling of being Too Slick for Ticks!).

An added bonus is that the humans seem to really love the way it makes my coat feel and smell, because they’re always wanting to pet and kiss me.

Knowing that I am safe from ticks let’s me be fully free to enjoy my many adventures,

(Be sure to scroll down a little so you can check out my most amazing adventure video…)

Why Repellents Don’t Work Against Ticks

why-ticks

Do you know WHY traditional tick ‘Repellents’ never really seem to keep ticks off of your pets…?

Whether they are natural or full of toxic chemicals, they are applied topically, or given orally,  repellents never seem to successfully keep ticks off of pets, do they…?

Why not??  Well, repelling a tick is nearly impossible and killing one is very time consuming.

The famous movie clip below is a perfect analogy of just the kind of results you can typically expect to see when you use a tick repellent product on your pet, as the annoying ticks are still going to make the leap ~ despite your valiant efforts trying to prevent them from doing so…

ticks-off-dog

Are you aware of the many great uses of TickSlick?

Keeping pets safe from ticks is the #1 priority for TickSlick, but there are some other great uses that we wanted to share with folks.

TickSlick eliminates static electricity in horses’ manes, tails and blankets.

Ever shock your horse accidentally with static electricity? Have you had days where your horses’ tail is stuck to their entire back-end? Ever gone to take a blanket off only to discover that you are shocking the poor horse over and over?

Just spray on some TickSlick and you can arrest the static immediately. Spray it directly onto the horse for static control of manes and tails. Spray directly onto a blanket to prevent its shocking static. If the blanket is already on the horse and it’s shocking them – lift up the neck area on both sides and spray TickSlick, then do the same for the back end. Then you can safely remove the blanket without scaring the horse with repeated shocks.
